This page has been extracted from one of our earlier websites - on the 4th anniversary of the death of the most special bunny with whom we had the pleasure of sharing our lives. Although he died several years ago, he is still not forgotten - and never will be..... TRIBUTES TO HEATHCLIFFE
Having heard so much about Heathcliffe and having met him myself just 2 weeks ago, must be a great loss to lose such a special bunny. Seems he had a very happy life, what with his many fans/girlfriends and not forgetting his wife!!. He will be sadly missed, Snoop sends his love to Heathcliffe with a special nose rub and lick.
Love and Best Wishes
Snoop (Heathcliffe's Son) Ben and Becky
Heathcliffe was unique - a real character and loved by everyone who met him. We all admired his modesty and were privileged members of his Fan Club. I'll still carry his card with me and think of him often.
Dear Heathy-Boy,
You were such a very
special bunny, much loved by all that knew you.
I feel privileged to have known you,
and am saddened that I never got to meet you in person.
With much love and
special bunny kisses, Karen,
Peter, Smudge, Casper, Nimue and Rupert
I never had the good fortune to meet Heathcliffe but
I was just one of his many admirers from afar. Karen's stories of his
exploits and her fabulous photography made it easy to "get to know"
Heathcliffe. What a champion! Deepest sympathy to Karen and
all........ CA x
I'm proud to say I have two, 10 week old
miniature Heathcliffe's of the female variety, Rosie and Berry.
Unfortunately, they were too tearful to write their own message, but asked
me to say that he was a very special Bunny Daddy, who will always be
remembered. Love to
Grandma Karen at this sad time, Rosie, Baby Berry, Bunny Sam (actually
a dog!), and the Humans xx
Dear Heathcliffe, I never met you, but you certainly looked like a handsome chap, and I am proud to be the mummy of your daughter Elle Gooseberry who is a beautiful little girl, whom I'm sure is going to grow up just as big as her dad. God Bless, Vicky & Elle (Sister of Rosie and Baby-Berry above) My whole family were sad and shocked to hear about 'Heathy-boy'. He had the best life he could have and you did all you could to help him. At least you know he thought the world of you and he knew you thought the same. JA None of us will ever forget him or
his Easter Sunday. They're both legendary. I only met Heathcliffe once, but his personality shone through. He was a very special rabbit, and I know he will be missed. Anne
Heathcliffe was such a wonderful bunny with such great character and personality. May he live on in his many sons and daughters and future generations....
Dear Heathcliffe will be with you forever in your heart Karen, a love that
strong never dies. You have both been very brave and now he is at rest.
I hope that once the pain of losing him lessens, you will have some wonderful
memories to look back on. CG x
This probably sounds daft, I hope that
Heathy-boy is in bunny-heaven doing what he does best; looking extremely
handsome and having a legion of female admirers :-) to attend to his every need. I am so sorry to hear the news about
Heathcliffe. I know you will never
Mummy's just looked at your web site
to learn about what happened to our real Daddy.
He's not suffering
anymore, and I'm sure there is a Bunny Heaven somewhere, where there's
lots of Lady Bunnies being chased this very moment, and having a whale of a
time!
Try to keep smiling
Grandma, we know it's hard. Please give Mummy-Berry a big, big hug for
us...
Love to you all,
Rosie :-(( & Baby Berry :-{{
Heathcliffe was such a special bun and will be remembered by so many, those of us that had the privilege to meet him as well as the readers of your web page. And of course through his 'extended' family, part of him will live on..... CL I hope Bunny-Heaven is well-equipped with lots of mirrors, grooming aids and plenty ladies. If so, your Heathcliffe will be a very happy boy again, enjoying his after-life and being hero-worshipped as he has been for the last two years!!!! What a great bunny he was. I won't forget him - and I somehow doubt that you will either. Lots of love to Heathy-Boy. XXXX I heard about what happened (to Heathcliffe) and I just
wanted to let you know how sorry I am for you. I know how much he meant to
you. Please take care. I have been there and know it isn't easy..
LC
We will miss chatting to Heathy Boy
as he had such great character and charm. He's my first penpal
bunny-friend. We know you will miss him deeply. Mummy ... is
still carrying Heathcliffe's Fan Club membership card in her purse and will
continue to do so.
So sorry to hear about Heathcliffe it must have been
awful for you to see him go down like that, i have been following your messages
on the board and hoping that he was going to get better. I just felt that i had
to send you a message about him as he seemed a really lovely bunny, but at least
he isn't suffering anymore now. Hope you are okay it makes you feel so sad when
you lose a bunny that you loved so much and i hope that in time you will feel
better. HA
Losing your Heathy-Boy will leave a huge hole in
your life. I always looked forward to seeing him and, until I met him,
would never have believed a bunny could have such character. I love the
way he followed you around and always objected to male visitors. He was a
real 'ladies man'!
It's very sad news
indeed. Heathcliffe was probably one of the best known bunnies on the internet
and I will miss his Christmas speeches and news. SF
I was so sorry to read about his death. No more walkies, no more tucking himself into your bed, no more shopping trips to Safeway with you, no more writing messages from your computer when he thinks your back's turned, and no more Easter Sundays with his girls.... I'll miss him - but not half as much as you will. LD (I hope his Fan Club will continue?)
We really got to know him
extremely well and loved his way of life and his attitude towards all his lady-
friends - especially Lightning. I will
tell her the sad news and I will ask her to keep his pics on her wall which I
know she will do so. We will all miss him very much and we are all
thinking of you.
And the special
tribute from his lonely-Lightning...
I've missed you. Your pictures will stay on the walls of my Warren so that I can see you and you can watch over me. You had a great influence over me and I admire you so much. I will keep my membership card for your fan club on my Warren door. We will meet someday on the big Rabbit Rainbow in the sky. LUV LIGHTNING X X X XX |
